      Costumes in Disability Galas
  1. IPC Swimming has adopted the FINA 2010 approved list of swim suits.
  2. Women’s suit is as outlined by FINA
  3. Men’s suit is as outlined by FINA, however, men are also permitted to wear the women’s suit outlined by FINA. This arises from a recommendation received from the Working Group on Rules that “The STC consider allowing males to wear a costumer adhering to the female costume rules” due to male swimmers who are concerned about:
  • Compensating for ‘body temperature control issues’
  • Some male athletes do not wish their scars to be on public display
